About a week ago I put Ubuntu (Lucid 10.04) on my netbook. Though in this period of time most of my issues with the OS have been sorted out, I have to admit that if I hadn’t been on strong painkillers I probably would have wiped it and put Windows back on out of sheer frustration. Which goes to show what wonderful things I would be able to accomplish if I had the slightest amount of patience or equanimity. Oh, well. For now I’ll just thank oxycontin and Tylenol 3.
Today I’m starting to read the Ubuntu Manual. Feeling geeky and entertaining hopes that one day I may be somewhat privy to the elusive, exotic mysteries of open source software.
